Google keyword Research
So how do you do reliable keyword research on Google?
Let’s dispell one huge myth right from the start:
Whenever you see someone selling a website or telling you this particular search term gets thousands of searches then, just ask yourself this simple question..are those results for a broad match searh, the answer will probably be a big yes..
This is going to give you a real false sense of security because, the actual facts will be that those keywords get very small amounts of searches therefore, you may well be on a loser from the start..
Here is an example using the Google Adwords Keyword Tool I do a search for Google Keyword Researh and here are the results:
You can see that there are 6,600 global searches now, we go back in to the adwords tool and change the search to exact match we then get:
We now see that there are 5,000 fewer searches for the same term..taking this a step further we now repeat the search for exact phrase match and we get 4,400 searhes per month.
Now you can appreciate that, if your website was on page one of Google for the term Google Keyword Research it’s possible you will get a small number of clicks.
I have fallen in this trap many times and registered domain names thinking I was going to make some great income from them, only to find later I had not done my homework properly however, this is a really common problem among webmasters..

You can now see our main keyword depicted by the gold key, the software shows what traffic we can expect from Google by page rank..position 1 to 3 will only gives us 4 or 5 clicks per day..
